The Neilson's are active in their church and before his undergraduate studies, Dr. Neilson served a two-year mission in Moscow, Russia. His personal interests include motorcycle riding and backpacking.
Dr. Stephen Price grew up in Tokyo and Hong Kong. He earned his dental degree at the University of Washington in 1983 and opened his practice in Elko. He has raised seven children in Elko and loves all that Elko offers. He loves dentistry and his philosophy for his practice has been to offer quality dentistry in a warm, gentle and caring environment.
Dentistry has been my passion for the past eighteen years. During this time I have gained valuable clinical experience and pride in the care I deliver to my patients. After obtaining my Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from Loma Linda University in 1995, my professional focus has been to provide all patients with a pleasant experience in a comfortable environment while aiding in the achievement of optimal oral health. My confidence in our practice philosophy and the dental work ordered by Dr. Price and Dr. Neilson is unparalleled in my opinion and I feel privileged to treat patients in conjunction with such a cohesive team of dental professionals. When I am not caring for my patients, I love spending time with my friends and family and enjoying all the amenities our community has to over.
As a fourth-generation native Nevadan, I grew up in Mountain City. There my family owned and operated Tremewan’s Store. Working in the store as a young girl, it became apparent that I would best function in a profession where I could deal directly with people. After graduating from Elko High School, I went on to attend Boise State University and later Carroll College in Helena, Montana where I graduated in 1987 with a Bachelor of Arts in Dental Hygiene. I have practiced hygiene in the Elko community for many years, having spent the past seventeen with Dr. Price, and now also Dr. Neilson. As a wife, mother of 2 adult sons and a proud grandmother to a beautiful 4-year-old girl, I enjoy hunting, fishing and spending time with my family in the great outdoors.
Up until high school graduation my home was Spanish Fork, Utah. Before serving a two-year mission in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, I attended Snow College in Ephraim, Utah. Upon returning home, I finished undergraduate course work in preparation for hygiene school at Utah Valley University. Once accepted into the dental hygiene program at Dixie State College, I met my lovely wife-to-be Melissa and we planned our future together. After graduation, we moved to Spring Creek, Nevada and began practicing dental hygiene in the area, where we have resided for the last 13 years. We enjoy hunting, fishing and spending time with our 2 boys doing various outdoor hobbies.
Growing up in California, my father was a practicing dentist which sparked my interest in the field as a young child. I completed undergraduate course work at the University of Nevada Reno and went on to achieve a Bachelor’s Degree in Dental Hygiene from Idaho State University. Working as a hygienist brings me great joy because I love working with people of all ages, those with special needs, and the Spanish speaking community. My husband, five children and I live on a ranch near Wells, Nevada. I have lived in Elko County for 27 years, and 22 of those years I have worked with Dr. Price. I love family time, riding, and winter sports.
After attending Pleasant Grove High School near Lindon, Utah I went on to attend Dixie State College in pursuit of a degree in dental hygiene. My interest in dentistry began as a young child. Going to the dentist was always a fun activity and it has been my professional goal to provide that same experience for my patients and their children. During my time at Dixie, I met classmates and future husband Chad Marrott who was also studying hygiene. As graduation drew near, we made plans for marriage and relocation to the Elko area. My husband and I have now lived and practiced hygiene here for the past thirteen years. We have been blessed with two beautiful boys, ten-year-old Chase, and six-year-old Bridger. My interests outside of the office include running, biking, spending time with my family, and enjoying outdoor activities.
At the age of four, my family and I moved from Russia to America and I lived in Alaska for the past twenty-three years. I attended the University of Alaska Fairbanks where I completed my undergraduate education. While raising six children, I went back to school and received my Dental Hygiene degree at the University of Alaska Anchorage. The mining industry brought us to the Elko area where we are adjusting to our new life in Nevada. I am passionate about Dental Hygiene and strive to meet each and every person’s individual needs, through effective hygiene care. Educating patients about their oral health and watching their improvement is very satisfying to me. I enjoy playing board games with my husband and children. I also enjoy watching medical drama shows, baking and just drinking a hot cup of tea.
