Pediatric Care

Keep your child’s teeth healthy with comprehensive pediatric care

At what age should a child begin to go to the dentist?

As soon as the first tooth comes in or by the age of one, children should have their first dental appointment. The earlier that children start going to the dentist, the better the oral health will stay throughout their lives.

What kind of dental care does my child need?

Every six months, children need to see the dentist in order to check everything from cavities to misalignment and ensure there are no developing issues. For example, children are also vulnerable to tooth decay, which can lead to expensive treatments and future oral health problems in adulthood. Sometimes a cleaning may be performed during the same visit. The pediatric dentist will help to educate the children and their parents about preventative care.
